Toph Beifong was an earthbending master, one of the most powerful of her time, and the discoverer of metalbending. Despite being born blind, Toph learned to master earthbending and surmount her visual impairment by using it as an extension of her senses. Having developed her own unique style of earthbending, Toph became famous for winning Earth Rumble tournaments under the alias "The Blind Bandit" and joined Avatar Aang on his travels as his earthbending teacher. After fighting in the Hundred Year War alongside Team Avatar, Toph spent years traveling around the world to bring peace. She fell in love and married another master earthbender named Kanto Le, and the two had a pair of twins, Siniestro and Destra.
