Aran was the Omashu Monarch who ruled from 118 AG, succeeding King Quanli, until 120 AG when he dissolved the independent nation of Omashu and transferred control to the United Republic of Nations. Omashu was then restructured as a municipality under the leadership of Mayor Harry.
In 121 AG, Aran left the United Republic and rejoined the Earth Kingdom with the approval of Earth Queen Amomi Enren, but was later placed on trial for treason by United Republic leadership due to his shifting allegiances.
In the same year, after the World War and United Fire Nation having assumed control over the United Republic, United Fire Lord Ichida returned the Si Wong Desert region, including Omashu, to the Earth Kingdom.
