Hortezuca - a Sun Warrior province, island, and town just east of the Earth Kingdom province of Cheng; the town notably contained large mushrooms as houses and was the home of Valalvās Alinova Dāinagon, before becoming the site of a spiritual disaster as the island's spirit Flora severely weakened, causing the island to sink into the sea. The disaster also directly led to the Painted Lady encompassing the world in a memory fog that erased the entire world population's knowledge of bending in 167 AG.

Etymology

The Solandu people originally named the island Hortezu Cā, hortezu meaning "mushroom" and cā meaning "four," a systematic and temporary name chosen by Bālvās Azutoru Dāinagon after acquiring it from the Earth Kingdom in the 133 Treaty of Chuje, named so because it was the fourth island designated from that treaty and was already rife with mushrooms at the time. Alongside Hortezuca, the islands of Chameleon I & II, Liminozu, Arangoy, and Dainedrax were also ceded; each was given a numerical name, some of which were later renamed:
