The Air Elders are the leaders of the Air Nomads, each presiding over one of the five Air Temples: Northern, Eastern, Southern, Western, and Air Temple Island. Each Elder oversees the teachings of airbending, philosophy, and the preservation of Air Nomad traditions within their respective temple.
