Blizzard Alliance was a defensive and node-sharing alliance between the Air Nation and the Water Tribe, formed in 145 AG as a renewal of the earlier Sate Alliance. The agreement focused primarily on cooperation involving spirit nodes and mutual coordination between the two nations.
The alliance was established while both nations were already military allies through their membership in the United Nations Alliance.
