Once a wild jungle province rife with pirates, the province later became the home of the [[House of Enren]], immigrants from the [[Fire Nation]], and in particular their patriarch [[Ryuco Enren]], who pacified the province, constructed the town of Karnaka, and eventually became the royal family of the Earth Kingdom. It is separated from the mainland by the [[Zhenzhu River]], across which lies the province of [[Gaoling]] to the north and the desert of [[Ankhbayar]] to the northeast.</div>
