Naga was abandoned at a young age after his father disappeared and his mother remained unknown to him. He spent much of his childhood surviving alone between villages before meeting [[Ko Tona]] while attempting to steal dried fish near a shoreline settlement. Tona took him in and became a father figure to him, introducing him to travel, surfing, and life beyond survival.
