Spark Cat is the fourteenth Air Elder of the Northern Air Temple. Spark succeeded the thirteenth Northern Air Elder, Soshin Kreese in 180 AG.

Early life
Spark Cat grew up as an Air Nomad with a free-spirited nature and, from a young age, was curious about the world beyond the Air Temples. At the Eastern Air Temple, Spark grew close to a friend who also loved exploring the Floating Sands and uncovering secrets beyond the temples. This friend, who loved cats and often wore a cat mask, eventually gave Spark the mask before they parted ways.

Later, Spark’s friend joined the Sands Dweller Branch, which was later called the Rift Dweller Branch, but then disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Some said the Rift consumed them, but Spark never found out what truly happened. Spark kept wearing the cat mask while traveling, and it became an important part of their identity.

As Spark grew older, they wanted to become a Scripter and joined the Rift Dweller Branch. However, the Rift Dweller Branch was not well developed and later declined, so Spark lost touch with what was happening there. After hearing rumors about the Floating Sands disappearing, Spark chose to focus fully on their work as a Scripter in the Scripter Branch.

Rise as Northern Elder
In 180 AG, Spark underwent the private Elderhood Ceremony held by Western Elder Mei Hai-Quinn, along with the Southern and Island Elders. All three became Elders at the same ceremony, with Spark formally becoming the Northern Air Elder of the Northern Air Temple.

Personal life
Outside of their Elder and Scripter roles, Spark enjoys traveling the world and meeting people from different backgrounds. They cherish a glider given to them by Abbot Yiera, a young airbending prodigy.

Spark is also very close to their brother, Fool Cat, an Earthbender who absolutely loves math so much that he sometimes does math with his earthbending.

Personality and Ideology
Spark is known for being free-spirited and adventurous. They like to travel, meet new people, and experience both the calm and risky sides of life. Despite traveling often, Spark is bad with directions.

Spark is determined and never gives up, even in dangerous situations or when escape seems impossible. Losing their childhood friend made Spark even more willing to keep going, especially when things are uncertain.

Spark's cat mask is still a meaningful symbol of their past and who they are.

Formed 114 AG, Air Nation is the restored nation of Air Nomads, the collective term for the monastic order of men and women who practice the discipline of airbending and the pacifist ethics of their theocratic society. One of the four nations, the Air Nomads were wanderers by definition, but had four air temples, one located at each corner of the globe, found atop mountain ranges and under cliffs, in the northern Earth Kingdom and on three remote islands, all of which were hard for outsiders to reach. Unlike the other nations, those born to the Air Nomads were, without any seen exception, all benders due to the high level of spirituality of their people.

The Air Nation comprises of the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Air Temples, as well as the Air Temple Island, all led by a Council of Elders.

The Air Nomads were defined to be peaceful people. They lived in large temples and travelled the world on flying bison. They are the most spiritual of all the cultures and lived in harmony with nature, and famous to be able to have "detached themselves from worldly concerns and found peace and freedom".

History
Reconstruction and identity after restoration (c. 100–120 AG)
Following the return of airbending, the Air Nation was rebuilt by Air Acolytes and newly emerged airbenders. The traditional structure of four temples was restored, led by elected elders rather than a single central authority. From the start, the Air Nation faced a challenge. It had to preserve its pacifist identity while existing in a world that was becoming more political and militarised.

Early governance and weakening authority (120–130 AG)
During the early decades, the Council of Elders struggled to maintain unity. Leadership changes were frequent, and authority was often unclear. At one point, Elder Palkyi attempted to centralise power, declaring himself the sole elder and proposing reforms to reshape governance. His rule was short and controversial, ending with his death after actions that nearly triggered a wider war.

After his death, the Air Nation returned to a council system. However, trust in leadership had already been damaged. The elders faced growing pressure from other nations, especially as disputes over territory and resources increased.

Loss of territory and external pressure (130–140 AG)
Throughout this period, the Air Nation lost control over several islands and resource nodes. These losses were often the result of coercive treaties or unequal agreements with stronger nations such as the Earth Kingdom, Water Tribe, and Sun Warriors. Attempts to reclaim these territories were largely unsuccessful.

The Air Nation remained committed to diplomacy, but this approach left it vulnerable. Other nations began to view it as politically weak, even while respecting its spiritual importance.

Internal reform and rising militarisation (148–150 AG)
A major shift began with the appointment of Aguila Sosa as Southern Elder. Unlike previous leaders, Aguila argued that the Air Nation could no longer rely on pacifism alone. He began quietly building a defensive force, training airbenders to respond to potential threats.

Aguila also attempted to renegotiate the Lummo Accords, a treaty that had granted other nations extensive access to Air Nation resources. His efforts failed, as key powers, particularly the Fire Nation, refused to revise the agreement. Despite this, Aguila continued strengthening the Air Nation’s defensive capabilities.

This period marked the first serious move away from traditional Air Nomad philosophy. It created internal division, with some supporting Aguila’s approach and others seeing it as a betrayal of their values.

Conflict with the Fire Nation and allied powers (150–151 AG)
Tensions between the Air Nation and the Fire Nation escalated rapidly. The Fire Nation demanded access to resources and accountability for past incidents involving Air Nomads. These demands were seen as excessive, and negotiations broke down.

In 151 AG, Fire Nation leadership invited Aguila Sosa to Caldera City under the pretext of diplomacy. During this meeting, Aguila was assassinated by a coalition that included Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, and Water Tribe leadership. This marked a decisive moment. It removed the Air Nation’s strongest reformist leader and left the nation vulnerable.

Following Aguila’s death, coordinated operations targeted other elders, including Eastern Elder Nade Dorsyl. The Air Nation’s leadership structure collapsed within a short period. With no effective resistance, Keldeo Sosa surrendered and signed the Reparation Accords, temporarily placing the Air Nation under Fire Nation control.

Calderan Accords and partial restoration (151 AG)
Later that same year, the Calderan Accords were signed. These agreements restored the Air Nation as a sovereign entity and returned control of the Air Temples. However, this restoration came with limits. Much of the Air Nation’s former territory was redistributed to other nations, and new elders were installed under external influence.

Figures such as Tiny Ruzgar and Konoha Tserya were placed in leadership, with the Fire Nation maintaining close oversight of internal affairs. This created a system where the Air Nation was independent in name but constrained in practice.

Modern Air Nation position (post-151 AG)
By the end of 151 AG, the Air Nation had undergone one of the most dramatic transformations in its history. It had moved from a peaceful, spiritually focused society to one forced into political survival.

Its leadership had been dismantled and rebuilt under pressure. Its territory had been reduced. Its philosophy had been challenged by the realities of the modern world.

Despite this, the Air Nation endured. It remained culturally and spiritually significant, even as it adapted to a world where neutrality and isolation were no longer possible.

Spark Cat

2026-10-05T20:17:52Z

LitVos: Edited Age, added (as of 5, Shēnyuè 180)

Air Temple Island is a small isle located off the south coast of Republic City, and one of the five temples of the Air Nation. The island is formally independent of the nearby United Republic, and is under the sole jurisdiction of the Air Nation, and its administrator, Elder of the Air Temple Island. Compromised of several structures, the temple was built by Avatar Aang himself, and home to Air Acolytes and several others, including colonies of flying bison and ringtailed winged lemurs. It also serves as the training grounds for airbending.

In 122 AG, it was subject to a land co-ownership agreement with the United Fire Nation who assumed control of the United Republic following the World War. A year after, in 123 AG, the agreement ceased to exist following the dissolvement of the unification of the United Fire Nation, and the island shortly returned back to the Air Nation's control through the Garda Treaty with Republic City.

The island is famous for hosting numerous events such as Ren Rei's public ceremony who was ushered into his role as Elder of the Northern Air Temple in 165 AG. In 170 AG, the Air Nation invited all people of the world to Air Temple Island to honour Emissary Leonis Magnus in his mastery ceremony. And in 171 AG, the public celebrated Boh Kotaro on becoming elected Island Elder, and Dante Sungakune's public ceremony on becoming a master airbender.

Shops

2026-10-05T19:31:39Z

LitVos: Added Note about Each NPC linked to its own shop. Two NPCs cannot share the same shop inventory menu.

Shops
Avatarverse offers shops around the world run by NPCs where you can buy and sell items with the in-game currency Yuans. You can also create your own shop and sell items to other players.

Admin Shops
Admin shops are NPC shops spread across the world where you can buy or sell items but are primarily used for selling items to get money. They used to sell most resources but now usually only sell the resources that are impossible to obtain in nodes. Instead, they buy resources from players, giving them Yuans in return.

Admin shops are located at Supāno, also known as Spawn Island, as well as the major cities of each nation. You can search for specific items in shops using <code>/shop search <item></code>. You can also find them on the Bluemap, where they are denoted by red shopping cart icons, and click on these icons to see exactly which items are bought or sold.

Player Shops
Player shops are NPC shops created by players where they can sell items to others. These are denoted by blue shopping cart icons on the Bluemap. You can create your own shop by running the command <code>/shop create <name></code>, which costs 26 vote points, meaning you must have voted for the server at least 26 times. You will then need to make a general support ticket on Discord to request the NPC to be set up. In the ticket, provide the following information:

# Name of the NPC
# Skin of the NPC, either the username of someone wearing the skin, or a raw PNG skin file
# Coordinates of where to place the NPC
# Any dialogue you want the NPC to have. You can use this website for colorful or formatted dialogue, and give us the raw input.
# Name of your shop
Note: Each NPC must be linked to its own shop. If you want two NPCs to use the same shop inventory, you will need to create a separate player shop for the second NPC. The two NPCs cannot share the same shop inventory menu.

Player shops can sell any item, and prices are set by the owner of the shop. You can search player shops with <code>/shop searchplayershops <item></code> or <code>/shop sps</code> for short.
