Sun Chieftess Max’li Raa is the 17th ruler of the Sun Warriors and current Mālvās of the Sun Warrior civilisation. She ascended to leadership following the disappearance of her older brother A’zuron Raa and the temporary regency of N’yubea Raa. Her coronation took place at the Quezon Palace in La Bayān to widespread ceremony and national recognition.

She is the daughter of M’kari Raa, the 15th Sun Chieftess, and an unnamed Sun Warrior warrior, and was raised within the royal household under strict political, spiritual, and martial instruction.

Early life
Max’li Raa was born in 151 AG during a period of political instability following the death of N’jadaka Raa. Her existence was kept within the royal circle, and she was raised directly under the care of her mother, Chieftess M’kari Raa.

From an early age, she was trained in Sun Warrior philosophy, Solandu language, firebending, and cultural disciplines. Her education included instruction in dragon stewardship, political theory, warfare, and traditional Sun Warrior arts. She was mentored by Amanuense Xocoma and master Itztli, who shaped her disciplined but highly adaptive fighting style based on Sun Warrior dance forms and elemental control.

Training and development
Max’li’s upbringing was defined by an intensive training regime combining physical conditioning, spiritual discipline, and intellectual study. She frequently trained at the dragon caves of Ninuno, forming a close connection with the Draconovo and their environment.

Her firebending style developed as a hybrid of traditional Sun Warrior dance forms and structured combat disciplines, reflecting both precision and controlled emotional expression. Her personality during this period became increasingly driven by personal validation and achievement, influenced by limited contact with her mother and the prominence of her brother A’zuron Raa as heir.

Internal conflict and emotional development
As Max’li matured, she developed a growing internal conflict regarding her position within the House of Raa. The separation between her and her mother, combined with her perception of A’zuron’s status as heir, contributed to increasing emotional strain and rivalry.

Her training intensified during this period, and she began to associate mastery and perfection with personal worth and recognition. This culminated in several incidents during her adolescence where her physical limits were pushed to extreme levels. A major turning point occurred when she collapsed near the dragon caves after overexertion, leading to intervention by her mentors. This incident forced her to confront the consequences of her ambition and emotional instability.

Succession crisis and ascension
Following the disappearance of A’zuron Raa, political authority within the Sun Warriors shifted rapidly. Max’li was formally crowned Sun Chieftess after M’kari Raa temporarily withdrew from leadership to mourn and stabilise the dynasty.

Her coronation marked the continuation of House of Raa rule and the transition into a new phase of governance under her leadership.

Personality
Max’li Raa is defined by discipline, control, and ambition. She maintains a composed and often distant presence, rarely showing vulnerability in public. This outward calm is partly genuine and partly a deliberate effort to project strength and authority.
She is highly ambitious, driven by a deep need to prove her worth both to herself and to her people. This manifests in a perfectionist mindset, where she sets extremely high standards and expects them to be met without compromise. Her attention to detail is precise, and she approaches responsibilities with careful planning and execution.

Max’li is intellectually inclined and values knowledge, particularly in areas tied to leadership, strategy, and Sun Warrior tradition. She learns quickly and applies what she knows with confidence, often making decisions decisively once she has assessed a situation.
Her leadership style is dominant and controlled. She expects obedience and competence from those around her, and she naturally takes charge in most situations. While she follows a structured moral code, she is willing to make difficult or ethically ambiguous choices if they benefit her long-term goals or the stability of her people.

Despite her strength, she is deeply private and emotionally guarded. Personal struggles and insecurities are kept hidden, contributing to her independence but also creating distance between herself and others. Max’li is resilient and unyielding. Once she commits to a goal, she pursues it relentlessly, often to the point of obsession. Her idealism shapes a clear vision of what the Sun Warriors should become, and she is determined to bring that vision into reality, regardless of the cost.
You can create your own shop by running the command <code>/shop create <name></code>, which costs 20 vote points, meaning you must have voted for the server at least 20 times. You will then need to make a general support ticket on Discord to request the NPC to be set up. In the ticket, provide the following information:

# Name of the NPC
# Skin of the NPC, either the username of someone wearing the skin, or a raw PNG skin file
# Coordinates of where to place the NPC
# Any dialogue you want the NPC to have. You can use this website for colorful or formatted dialogue, and give us the raw input.
# Name of your shop

Player shops can sell any item, and prices are set by the owner of the shop. You can search player shops with <code>/shop searchplayershops <item></code> or <code>/shop sps</code> for short.
Avatarverse has a variety of custom items for various purposes, but currently the majority are decorative. Many of these items are available for purchase on the Lotus Shop with Lotus Coins, which can be purchased from our store or sometimes earned as a reward for winning certain competitions or helping the server in some way. The Lotus Shop is an in-game virtual shop that can be accessed by typing <code>/lotus</code> in the chat. It sells items called assets(amongst other options), which are basically a protected class of items.

Assets are items that can be placed in the world and are protected from being stolen by other players. They are non-transferrable. This means that once you place an asset, it cannot be picked up by anyone else. They're usually furniture items, but sometimes also cosmetic hats or other wearables.

Other items may be unobtainable from the Lotus Shop, and these are usually items associated with a specific nation or profession, which are doled out by Nation Leaders when you earn a certain position. For example, there is a special hat worn by the Dai Li that is only available to Dai Li agents.

Avatarverse has plans to implement more items that can be crafted or earned through other aspects of gameplay. These items would have special properties such as bending enhancements.
Avatarverse has a custom cooking system that allows you to slowly cook food in a special cooking pot. This system allows for more complex recipes and is similar to the brewing system. To cook food, you need to craft a cooking pot, following the recipe below. Once you have a cooking pot, you can place it down. To cook food, you need to right-click on it with the food you want to cook. A hologram will appear above the cooking pot showing the progress bar. When the food is done cooking, it will appear above the cooking pot. You can then right-click on the food to pick it up (and get XP for it).

When the ingredients you cook don't match an existing recipe, you instead make a stew called "Street Gruel". Instead of listing all the recipes below, we recommend you visit a library in game to find Master Chef Mushi's famous cookbook. This cookbook contains all the recipes you can make in the game.
The fish you catch can be used for cooking or crafting foods, which can give you special effects.

DarTheCzar: Farming

Farming
Farming is a crucial aspect of the game, as it allows players to grow crops and other resources that can be used for food, brewing, and other purposes. Farming on Avatarverse is more reminiscent of games like Stardew Valley than vanilla Minecraft, as it requires a little bit more effort and is a little more complex than just planting seeds and waiting for them to grow.

To start farming, you need farmland, seeds, a water source, and ideally a scarecrow to protect your crops from crows. You can buy seeds at the Farmer's Market on Supāno, also known as Spawn Island. To water them, you can either irrigate them like vanilla Minecraft (by placing water next to them) or use watering cans or sprinklers you can buy from the Farmer's Market.

Crops are seasonal, meaning that they can only be grown during certain times of the year. You can check the current season by typing <code>/calendar</code> in the chat. The Farmer's Market also sells Greenhouse Glass, which allows you to grow crops out of season if you place them at least a few blocks above the farmland, up to 8 blocks above.

The Farmer's Market also sells other farming-related items, such as fertilizer, which can speed up the growth of your crops, and scarecrows, which protect your crops from crows. Crows can destroy your crops if they are not protected, so it is essential to have scarecrows in your farm.

You can use crops for XP farming, food, brewing, and other purposes. Some fruits are especially useful for bending power-up foods, which can enhance your bending abilities for a short period, although the recipes of these will have to be discovered through playing the game and interacting with other players.

Resources
Avatarverse has a wider variety of items and resources than other servers, some of which have special properties that can enhance bending, XP gains, or other aspects of the game. Here is a rundown of the different types of resources and how to obtain them.

Nodes
The world of Avatarverse has conventions that differ from those of other Minecraft servers. It is not full of ores and other resources. It is instead filled with regenerating areas dedicated to specific resources, often referred to as nodes.

A node is usually a small area that contains copious amounts of a specific resource or set of resources, as well as a clickable sign that allows anyone to regenerate the node every once in a while.

These nodes are owned by the nation that claimed territory where the node is located and forbids resource extraction by foreigners. The only way to gain resources located in nodes from other nations is to trade with the people of that nation. Because of that, resource nodes have largely become political tools for nation leaders in trade deals and other ways.

Attempting to collect resources from anywhere else than resource nodes without permission from the the Nation Leader of that area or Staff Team is considered griefing, and:

<code>GRIEFING IS A BANNABLE OFFENSE</code>

Combat tag
If you are attacked or you attack someone, you will be placed in a 15-second combat tag. During that time you will be unable to use certain commands that might aid you to escape.

Any attempt to leave the game while will combat tagged automatically knocks you out when you rejoin.

<span id="Knockouts"></span>Knockouts
Under normal circumstances, if your health reaches zero, you are knocked out. This means you are forced to lie down on the ground (if possible) and cannot move, move items in your inventory, attack people, or get attacked. This state lasts 60 seconds

You are also vulnerable to a number of threats:

* People can sneak & right-click on your body to open your inventory and take any item out of it.
* People can shift-click you to drag you until you are no longer knocked out.
* You can also be handcuffed, shackled, or gagged.
If you leave the game while knocked out, you will be knocked out again when you rejoin the server and have to endure another 60 seconds.

Being knocked out also prevents you from using certain commands:

OOC Messaging: <code>/message</code>, <code>/tell</code>, etc.<br>
IC Mail Sending: <code>/bird</code><br>

Duels
Duels are a way one can avoid being knocked out when the health bar reaches zero. They are designed for quick, friendly spars so you don't have to wait for the knockout to end when someone loses the duel.

To duel someone, send a duel request with <code>/duel <character></code>. They will have the opportunity of accepting it with the same command (with your character name instead of theirs), or denying it just by ignoring it.

Duel To The Death
Duels to the Death (DttDs) are a special type of duel. When you get knocked out in a DttD, the winner of the duel will have the option to land the final blow, ultimately killing your character, or wait out the knockout period to spare you from death.

You can duel to the death with someone by requesting and accepting with <code>/duel <character> death</code>.

<span id="Restraining People"></span>Restraining People
Certain craftable items can be used on someone who is knocked out in order to limit their movement and bending once they are awake to make them easier to control.

There are three different types of restraining items:

Gags which go on people's heat slots<br>
Handcuffs which go on people's chest slots.<br>
Shackles which go on people's feet slots

Gags have the following effects on people:
* All messages on chat will appear as: *muffled*, preventing from speaking.
* Inability to use Breath abilities (ex: AirBreath, Frostbreath, FlameBreath...)

Handcuffs have the following effects on people:
* Inability to punch other entities
* Limited interactions with hands
* Ability to be dragged to another location by anyone
Shackles have the following effects on people:
* Slowness II
* Inability to use bending abilities that require sneaking

Additionally all the commands blocked during knock-out are also blocked when handcuffed or shackled.

Dragging a Handcuffed Person
To drag a handcuffed person, tap sneak while looking at them to start dragging them. They will be teleported wherever you go. To stop dragging someone, tap sneak while looking at them again. Dragging is interrupted if you take damage.

Unlocking Handcuffs and Shackles
Shackles and Handcuffs can be unlocked with the use of a key item that is generated when shackles or handcuffs are placed on someone. They key will only work for the specific shackle/handcuff it was generated for. Right click on a shackled/handcuffed person with the right key to unlock it.

Removing a gag
You can remove someone's gag by right-clicking on them with an empty hand.

Escaping Restraints
There are ways to escape shackles, but most require a lot of work:

* Any handcuff and shackle can take a little bit of damage if you repeatedly left-click, as if you're hitting them against an object. This won't work for every punch and will damage you as well.
* Any handcuff will take damage from holding sneak with HeatControl (burning/melting the Handcuffed)
* Wooden handcuffs and shackles will take damage if you hold sneak with FrostBreath
* Iron handcuffs and shackles are escapable when holding sneak with any metalbending move

<span id="Restraining People"></span>Restraining People
Certain craftable items can be used on someone who is knocked out in order to limit their movement and bending once they are awake to make them easier to control.

There are three different types of restraining items:

Gags which go on people's heat slots<br>
Handcuffs which go on people's chest slots.<br>
Shackles which go on people's feet slots

Gags have the following effects on people:
* All messages on chat will appear as: *muffled*, preventing from speaking.
* Inability to use Breath abilities (ex: AirBreath, Frostbreath, FlameBreath...)

Handcuffs have the following effects on people:
* Inability to punch other entities
* Limited interactions with hands
* Ability to be dragged to another location by anyone
Shackles have the following effects on people:
* Slowness II

Combat & Jailing
Avatarverse has unique combat mechanics, which are integral to understanding wars and personal safety on the server.

To duel someone, send a duel request with <code>/duel <character></code>. They will have the opportunity of accepting it with the same command (with your character name instead of theirs), or denying it just by ignoring it.

Farming
You can read about farming here.

Fishing
Chat System
Channel Types
The Minecraft server contains a set of channels through which players can chat. There are two types of channels:

Out-of-character (OOC) channels
In-character (IC) channels
Global channels allow your chat to be heard across the world.

Local channels limit the range distance of your chat being heard.

Listening & Talking
Each channel has a short command you execute to talk in it:

* Method 1: <code>/g</code> switches you to the global chat to talk.
* Method 2: <code>/g hello everyone</code> sends your chat in the global channel without switching to it.

You may stop listening to other people in a certain channel by typing <code>/leave <channel command></code> or resume listening to a channel by typing <code>/join <channel command></code>

Player-run nations
One of the primary features of Avatarverse is the presence of player-run nation states governing almost all characters. Nations are the backdrop of all roleplay on the server and the building blocks of player-driven politics.

Players are given the freedom to steer national and international politics on their own accord. Therefore, nation leaders can make and unmake laws, punish their citizens justly or unjustly, declare wars, etc. A nation is not guaranteed to always exist. That said, in extraordinary circumstances, the Roleplay Council reserves the right to intervene in situations that are believed to cause excessive or irreversible damage to the roleplay integrity of the server.

Nations organize on their own Discord Servers owned by the nation's leader and passed from one leader to another. These servers vary significantly because the Nation Leaders have full creative freedom but must abide by Avatarverse Rules in these spaces nonetheless.

The Nation System
Avatarverse has a unique system for handling its nation states, somewhat similar to plugins like Factions, Towny, or Kingdoms. Nations are complex objects containing provinces, settlements, resource nodes, citizens, and ranks.

Geofeatures
A geofeature is something with a geographical domain, an object or area that takes up space, The nation system has several types of geofeatures, the most fundamental being the chunk.

* Nations
* Provinces
* Settlements
* Nodes
* Chunks

Nations
A nation, at its fundamental level, is a group of provinces. Nations also have a variety of settings that set them apart from other nations, such as a unique name, color, and banner. They also have a set of ranks, at the top of which is the nation leader, and a settlement they count as their capital. Nations have a population of citizens as well.

Provinces
A province is a group of chunks. Provinces are subunits of nations and can have their own leaders.

Settlements
A settlement is a protected group of chunks within a province. It is a subset of a province and is owned by whichever nation owns the province. Only members of a settlement's parent nation can build/destroy in the settlement, unless they are placed on that settlement's whitelist.

Settlements are also places where most players can live without fear of being attacked. Damage is not taken in these areas, except under certain circumstances. See Combat for more information.

Settlements can have their own leaders, if a ranking system is created for them by their owning nation's leadership.

Chunks
To understand nations, we must first understand chunks. A chunk is a rectangular prism of a width of 16 blocks and a height spanning from Minecraft's minimum to maximum height.

The chunk is the building block of the nation system's geofeatures.

For more information about chunks, check out Minecraft's Wiki.

Resource Nodes
The world of Avatarverse has conventions that differ from those of other Minecraft servers. It is not full of ores and other resources. Because of that, it is instead filled with regenerating nodes dedicated to specific resources, often just referred to as nodes.

A node is a protected group of chunks within a province that can overlap with settlements and has special properties that differentiate it from settlements. The resources in nodes cannot be removed by a foreigner (someone who isn't a member of the node's owning nation), and the animals in nodes cannot be harmed by foreigners either. It is usually a small area that contains copious amounts of a specific resource or set of resources, as well as a clickable sign that allows anyone to regenerate the node every once in a while.

Nation Ranks
Each nation has a rank system that is completely customizable according to the nation leader's needs. Each rank has a numerical priority from 1 to 100, with 1 denoting the lowest priority, a regular citizen, and 100 denoting the highest priority, the nation leader.

Ranks are displayed in front of a character's name in all chat channels and contain a set of nation permissions. The rank can either possess or lack access to a certain nation permission, allowing or prohibiting a certain nation action or command.

* Nations
* Provinces
* Settlements
* Nodes
* Chunks

Nation Ranks
Each nation has a rank system that is completely customizable according to the nation leader's needs. Each rank has a numerical priority from 1 to 100, with 1 denoting the lowest priority, a regular citizen, and 100 denoting the highest priority, the nation leader.

Ranks are displayed in front of a character's name in all chat channels and contain a set of nation permissions. The rank can either possess or lack access to a certain nation permission, allowing or prohibiting a certain nation action or command.
